    • Started vehicle and it's knocking very bad, shut it off and inspected oil, it's a little brown but it's full. For sure a rod knock in engine. Needs Engine replacement. There is no coverage from KIA for recall because customer did not get recalls performed.
    • WARRANTY ADMIN FEE
    • Removed oil pan and confirmed the piston 4 bearing with lots of play, also removed filter and opened to confirmed metal in system.

    Services Performed
    • Confirmed check engine light active at cluster. Pulled codes and found two on ECM, P0128 Thermostat and P0010 CVT circuit. Went and connected Lab scope and isnot isolating, removed cvt cover to inspect phaser and found a failure on phaser. Recommend to replace phaser and actuator to correct concern. Not repairing at this time.
